Hope Counseling Center Assessments

The first step in receiving an assessment is to set up an Intake Interview. This first interview will be used to determine what the assessment is for and what tests will be taken. You should bring in any pertinent information with you at this time, such as previous assessments, court documents, referral paperwork, etc. The counselor will discuss the assessment process and various tests.

To make sure that you receive a complete assessment and there aren't any surprise costs you will know when you leave this interview what tests you will be taking and what the cost of the assessment will be. When the interview is done and the Assessment Estimate completed you will schedule all of the assessment appointments with the front desk. There won't be any charge for this interview.

At the first actual testing appointment you will be required to pay in full for the complete assessment. If you have insurance we will submit the claims to them and if they pay on the claims we will refund you the money. If, at some point during testing, it is determined that you will need to take more tests that were not initially agreed to then the counselor will discuss these tests and the cost with you. You will need to agree to and pay for the additional testing before it takes place.

After the testing is complete the counselor will interpret the tests and inform you of the results either verbally or through a written report, whichever was indicated on the Assessment Estimate.
